Spongebob SquarePants... my new cribmate!
Thanks to Ninang Dianne!!!
"Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
Absorbent and yellow and porous is he!
If nautical nonsense be something you wish...
Then drop on the deck and flop like a fish!"

Getting to Know SpongebobSpongeBob
SpongeBob lives in a pineapple at the bottle of the sea. A bright yellow sponge, he always wears a boy scout's outfit, and always has a buck-toothed grin on his face. He works in Krusty Krab restaurant, cooking Krabbie Patties. He enjoys catching jellyfish and spending time with his best friend, Patrick, a starfish.
How did it all start?
SpongeBob SquarePants made its debut in 1999 on children's channel Nickleodeon, and quickly became one of the channel's most popular programmes. It is aimed at under-11s, but has built up a cult following among adults - with evening repeats on music station MTV.
Creator Stephen Hillenburg pitched the idea to Nickleodeon while working as an animator on another series, Rocko's Modern Life. SpongeBob's theme song runs: "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants! Absorbent and yellow and porous is he. SpongeBob SquarePants!"
